1. General Shipping Information The Savvy Caters is a specialist B2B supplier. To provide competitive trade pricing and the latest equipment models, we utilise a direct-from-manufacturer delivery model. Your order will be dispatched directly from our partner warehouses across the UK.
2. Order Processing & Handling Times
- Order Cut-off Time: 11:00 AM (GMT)
- Handling Time: 0 – 1 business days (Monday to Friday).
- Weekend Orders: Orders placed after 11:00 AM on Friday or over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday.
3. Transit Times & Delivery Estimates
- Standard UK Mainland Delivery: 2 – 3 business days.
- Next Working Day Mainland Delivery: 1 business day (available on selected items, postcode exclusions apply).
- Total Estimated Delivery Time: 3 – 5 business days.
4. Shipping Rates
- Orders over £96 (Inc. VAT): FREE Standard Delivery.
- Orders under £96 (Inc. VAT): A flat rate of £20.39 (Inc. VAT) for small items or £53.99 (Inc. VAT) for freight/oversized items.
- Pallet Surcharge: Certain heavy items (e.g., commercial refrigeration) may incur a specific pallet charge, which is calculated and displayed clearly at checkout.
5. Delivery Conditions (Kerbside Only)
5.3. Inspection: You must inspect the goods for damage before signing. If damaged, please refuse the delivery and contact us immediately at sales@thesavvycaters.co.uk.
5.1. Kerbside Delivery: Large catering equipment is delivered via a pallet network. Delivery is “Kerbside Only.” The driver will offload to the nearest safe point. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate personnel are available to move the equipment inside.
5.2. Access & Parking: The customer must ensure a clear, legal parking space for a large delivery vehicle. Any parking fines, redelivery fees, or return charges resulting from lack of access will be the responsibility of the customer.
Please ensure that:
- There is a clear, legal parking space for a large delivery vehicle/pallet truck.
- The delivery address is accurate and someone is present to sign for the goods.
- Any local access restrictions (e.g. narrow lanes, low bridges, or time-restricted zones) are communicated to us before dispatch.
Returns & Refunds Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please follow the guidelines below.
1. B2B Return Policy
The Savvy Caters operates exclusively as a Business-to-Business (B2B) supplier. By purchasing from this website, you acknowledge that the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply. However, we offer a voluntary return window for our trade customers.
2. Return Window & Notification
- Notification: You must notify us of your intent to return an item within 14 days of delivery.
- Return Period: Once notified and approved, the goods must be returned to the designated manufacturer warehouse within a further 14 days.
3. Condition of Returns To be eligible for a refund, the item must be:
- Unused, uninstalled, and in “as-new” condition.
- In original packaging with all manuals and accessories.
- Note: Items connected to gas or electricity cannot be returned if they have been commissioned or used.
4. Fees and Shipping Costs
Faulty/Damaged Items: If an item is faulty or damaged on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours. We will arrange collection or replacement at no cost to you.
Change of Mind: The buyer is responsible for return shipping. Due to the weight of commercial equipment, we recommend a tracked, insured pallet service.
Restocking Fees: Non-faulty returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee plus a £120 (+VAT) administration fee to cover manufacturer inspection and repackaging.
